December Dusk

December dusk among the trees

silence whispers “hush”

and river-mist fingers reach

to claim the remnant light.

The world is built

of indigo

and I am lost among the shades.

Light and life and years,

they mingle here and merge;

Day and year and life

have given up their warmth.

And here I stand,

not knowing why,

while slowly flakes begin to drift

Winter falls.

    i want to be in this place–I am in this place…
    of silence and waiting and blue blue indigo blue…
